Aiyanoor Ammanoor Festival

Aiyanur Ammanur is a festival celebrated by the Kota tribe of the Nilgiris.
During this festival, this tribe collects mud for making pottery. The pot-making ceremony is held once in two years.
After the earthen pot is made, they open their temple and then prepare food in this earthen pot and serve it to the whole village.
After prayers are over in the temple, the men and women dance separately during the day and night wearing their traditional clothes.
