How to Apply for the UPSC Civil Services Examination 2027?

• Candidates must apply online through the official UPSC website: https://upsconline.nic.in
• Applicants must first complete One Time Registration (OTR) on the UPSC website. After completing the OTR, candidates can proceed with the online application for the examination.
• OTR is required only once in a candidate's lifetime. Candidates can complete the registration at any time during the year.
• Candidates who have already completed their OTR can directly proceed with the online application for the examination.

• The Union Public Service Commission conducts the Civil Services Examination (CSE) to recruit candidates for various All India and Central Civil Services.

How Are UPSC Exam Centres Allotted?

• Applicants who cannot select their preferred centre due to the capacity limit must choose from the remaining available centres.
• Candidates are advised to apply early to increase their chances of getting the examination centre of their choice.

What Is the Minimum Educational Qualification for the UPSC CSE?

Candidates must hold a graduate degree from a recognised university or institution established under an Act of the Central or State Legislature in India. A degree from an institution established under an Act of Parliament or recognised as a deemed university under Section 3 of the University Grants Commission Act, 1956 is also accepted.

Candidates with an equivalent qualification recognised by the government are also eligible to apply for the UPSC Civil Services Examination.
