Lyme disease

  • It is spread to humans through the bite of an infected blacklegged tick (deer tick).
  • This disease is also called Lyme Borreliosis.
  •  The most common indicator of infection is red spots.
    •  These are known as erythema migrans.
  •  The disease occurs during summer or fall, when blacklegged ticks are most mobile.
