Cellular agriculture involves the production of animal-based products by cell culture instead of animals.
Cell culture and precise fermentation are two different methods used for the production of milk, meat and eggs.
In cell culture meat is produced directly from the cells whereas in precise fermentation microorganisms are used to produce milk and egg whites etc.
Cellular agriculture is currently being promoted due to the increasing contribution of the food industry to carbon emissions.
