Debrigarh Wildlife Sanctuary is located in the Sambalpur district of Odisha. The sanctuary is bounded by the Hirakund reservoir in the east and north.
It is one of the sanctuaries supporting both terrestrial and aquatic biodiversity, which attracts a large number of migratory waterfowl during winters.
The famous freedom fighter Veer Surendrasai made his secret hideout at 'Barapathara' located inside the sanctuary during his rebellion against the British.
Recently the National Tiger Conservation Authority has given the status of Tiger Reserve to this sanctuary.
