Model Skill Loan Scheme

  • Minister of State for Skill Development Jayant Chaudhary launched this revised scheme.
  • Its aim is to empower the country's workforce for the future.
  • Under this, 25000 youth will be given opportunities to enhance education and skills.
  • Under this new scheme, the limit of loan amount has been increased to ₹ 7.5 lakh.
    • Earlier this amount was ₹ 1.5 lakh.
  • This scheme was started in the year 2015 to provide institutional loans.
