  • Its full name is NASA-ISRO Synthetic Aperture Radar (NISAR).
  • This satellite will keep an eye on wetlands, land changes due to volcanic eruptions, subtle movements of glaciers etc.
  • This satellite will map the entire Earth every 12 days.
  • It is to be launched from India in January, 2024.
