XPoSat

  • On January 1, 2024, ISRO launched the first X-ray polarimeter satellite(XPoSat).
  • Its objective is to gather information about 'Krishna Viver' (Black Hole).
  • It was installed in the lower Earth orbit (650 kilometers).
  • It was launched from the rocket ‘Polar Satellite Launch Vehicle’ (PSLV) C-58.
  • This is the 60th mission of PSLV.
