Jagannath Puri Temple

  • This temple is located in the coastal city of Puri in the state of Odisha.
  • This temple was built by King Anantavarman (Ganga dynasty) in 1161 AD.
  • This temple is dedicated to Lord Krishna, the incarnation of Lord Vishnu.
  • Here Lord Jagannath is seated with his elder brother Balabhadra and sister Subhadra.
  • This temple is one of the four Dhams of Hinduism.
    • These four Dhams are in Badrinath, Dwarka, Rameswaram and Puri.
