One Scientist, One Product Scheme

  • Union Agriculture Minister Shivraj Singh Chouhan launched this scheme.
    • It was launched on the 96th foundation day of the Indian Council of Agricultural Research.
  • The aim of this five-year plan is to promote research work in agriculture.
    • This year, priority has been given to seed centers for high-yielding oilseeds and pulses varieties.
  • All 5,521 scientists of the institute have been given the target of introducing one product, one technology, one model or one concept.
