• Prime Minister Narendra Modi inaugurated Semicon India 2025 (4th edition) on 2nd September 2025 at Yashobhoomi, New Delhi.

Key Points:-

• This three-day conference focuses on developing a strong, resilient, and sustainable semiconductor ecosystem in India.
• The conference covers important topics such as smart manufacturing, research & development, innovation in artificial intelligence, investment opportunities, and state-level policy implementation.

Participation and International Collaboration:

• The event sees over 20,000 participants, including nearly 2,500 delegates from more than 48 countries.
• Highlights include roundtable discussions with six countries, country pavilions, dedicated platforms for workforce development, and special pavilions for startups.

Major Attractions:

• Initiatives under the Design Linked Incentive (DLI) scheme are showcased.
• Special emphasis is given to startup ecosystem development, strengthening international collaboration, and mapping the future roadmap of India’s semiconductor sector.
