• Country's first Public-Private Partnership (PPP) based green waste processing plant has been set up in Indore, Madhya Pradesh.

Key Points:-

• Unique initiative to convert green waste into resources.
• Objective: To convert green waste into valuable resources and improve urban waste management.
• This initiative is being launched in collaboration with Indore Municipal Corporation (IMC) and Astronomical Industries Private Limited.

Role of Municipal Corporation and Private Companies:

• Indore Municipal Corporation (IMC)
  • Will supply land and green waste for the plant.
  • Will assist in transportation of waste.
• Astronomical Industries Private Limited
  • Will take the responsibility of construction, operation and maintenance of the plant.
  • Will arrange for basic amenities like shed, electricity, water.
  • Will process green waste and convert it into valuable products.
