• As part of the centenary year celebrations of its founder Ramnath Goenka, the Indian Express Group instituted the Ramnath Goenka Excellence in Journalism Awards.
• The awards have been held annually since 2006.
• The awards aim to celebrate excellence in journalism, recognise courage and commitment, and showcase outstanding contributions and individuals each year.
• The most prestigious annual event in the Indian media calendar, pays tribute to those journalists from print/digital and broadcast.
  • Maintain the highest standards of their profession despite facing political and economic pressures,
  • Still manage to produce work that builds and sustains public trust in the media and impacts people's lives.
