SWAWLAMBAN Challenge Fund

  • Small Industries Development Bank of India (SIDBI) has launched the SWAWLAMBAN Challenge Fund in partnership with the Foreign, Commonwealth and Development Office, UK. It aims to provide financial support for development work to non-profit organizations, educational institutions and social start-ups.
  • Under this, organizations working in the field of livelihood, women-empowerment, financial- literacy, responsible business etc. can submit their proposal for assistance.
  • It focuses on green, clean and efficient projects to meet the challenges of climate change. The scheme is in accordance with India's commitments to the Net-Zero Carbon Emission target by the year 2070.
  • Applications under this fund, will be invited under Pilot category and Scale-up category. Under the Pilot category, applicants can apply for innovative startups, while in the Scale-up category applicants can nominate already ongoing projects to scale up.
