  • This report is released every 4 years.
  • Trafficking was documented in 162 countries and territories during 2015-2021.
    • It contains information about illegal trade of about 4,000 plants and animals.
  • According to the report:
    • Rhinoceros and pangolin were the most affected animal species.
    • Rhino horn recorded the highest share in illegal market share.
    • Cedar and Sapindales were the most affected plant species.
    • The most commonly confiscated species groups include coral, crocodile and elephant.
