Allahabad High Court RO/ARO Exam Pattern

  • The selection process for the RO/ARO exam at Allahabad High Court has two stages – Part 1 and Part 2.
  • Candidates must pass both Part 1 and Part 2 exams to be appointed to the RO/ARO position.
  • The selection process is entirely objective and computer-based.
  • There will be no interview for selection.

Part 2: Computer Knowledge Test (Typing)

This stage tests your typing efficiency and accuracy on a computer.

  • An English text passage of approximately 500 words will be provided.
  • Duration: 20 minutes.
  • Maximum Marks: 50 marks.
  • Minimum Qualification: It is mandatory to score at least 25 marks out of 50.
  • Minimum Speed: 25 words per minute (wpm).

Negative Marking in Typing

  • 0.1 marks will be deducted for every mistake.
  • Left-out words, spelling mistakes, or typing unnecessary letters/words are considered full errors.
  • Typing any character, word, or symbol not present in the provided text is a full error.
  • Words typed beyond the prescribed limit will be ignored.
