The Ministry of Home Affairs launched Crime Multi Agency Center (Cri-MAC) for various law enforcement agencies to share 24x7 information about crime and criminals and ensure seamless flow of information between them.
The portal, run by the National Crime Records Bureau (NCRB), aims to help in early detection and prevention of crime incidents.
The portal enables inter-state coordination by facilitating dissemination of information on important crimes including human trafficking in real time.
