lupex mission

  • This is the lunar polar exploration mission.
  • It is a joint plan of ISRO and Japan (JAXA).
  • It has been named Lunar Polar Exploration Mission i.e. LUPEX.
  • A rover weighing 10.5 times more (350 kg) than Chandrayaan-3 will be launched.
  • It will rotate 90 degrees to observe the dark side of the Moon.
