MAHIR Mission is a joint mission of Ministry of Power and Ministry of New and Renewable Energy. Its full name is ‘Mission on Advanced and High-Impact Research’.
It aims to facilitate indigenous research, development and demonstration of latest technologies in the power sector.
It focuses on identifying emerging power technologies and developing them on a large scale for deployment within and outside India.
The initial period of the mission is from the year 2023-24 to 2027-28. The Mission will have a two-tier structure- Technical Scoping Committee and Apex Committee.
