Nagzira Tiger Reserve

  • Geographical location : Expand in Bhandara-Gondiya district of Maharashtra.
  • Share border with famous sanctuaries like Kanha, Pench, Tadoba-Andhari, Indravati, Kaval, Nagarjuna Sagar and Achanakmar.
  • Declared Wildlife Sanctuary in the year 1970 and reserve area for Project Tiger by the Government of Maharashtra in the year 2012.
  • Transfer of two female tigers from Chandrapur district of Maharashtra to Navegaon Nagjira Tiger Reserve with the aim of preventing man-animal conflict.
