Nushu Script

  • Nushu is considered to be the only script in the world which is developed and used exclusively by women.
  • It was invented about 400 years ago in Hunan province of China.
  • Along with being written on paper this script is also depicted as embroidery on clothes, handkerchiefs and belts.
  • Presently, efforts are being made to revive this endangered script.
