  • The old Parliament House will be known as 'Samvidhan Sadan'.
  • At first it was named Council House.
  • The first meeting of the Constituent Assembly was held here on 9 December 1946.
  • This building was completed in 1927.
  • It was designed by Edwin Lutyens and Herbert Baker.
