Therosaurus indicus

  • Discovery of fossilized remains of 167 million year old plant-eating dikryosaurid dinosaur from Jaisalmer, Rajasthan.
  • This is the first discovery of the remains of a dacryosaurid dinosaur in India.
  • In the past its fossils have been found in North and South America, Africa and China.
  • The name of this fossil is Throsaurus indicus based on the Thar Desert and India.
