The Ministry of Finance declared ZCZP as securities. Also it has been included in the Securities Contracts (Regulation) Act, 1956. Presently, this list includes shares, scrips, stocks, bonds, debentures, etc.
This instrument issued by a non-profit organization, which is used to fund the projects of non-governmental organizations. It will be registered with the Social Stock Exchange segment of the SEBI recognized stock exchange.
NGOs are not required to pay principal or interest on these after the completion of the project.
This will help organizations/corporations to utilize their social responsibility funds and support non-profit organizations more transparently.
