The Bihar government has launched the Mukhyamantri Pratigya Yojana to provide financial assistance to youth doing internships.

About Mukhyamantri Pratigya Yojana

What is it: This is a scheme launched to provide financial assistance to youth for internship programs after passing the 12th class board examination.
Objective: To solve the problem of youth unemployment and promote industry among students.
Committee: A committee has been constituted in this regard which will be headed by the Development Commissioner, while members of the industry will also be included in it.

Eligibility: Under this scheme, youth aged 18 to 28 years, who have received training under the Skill Development Program or who have passed 12th, Diploma, Graduation and Post Graduation from Industrial Training Institutes, will get financial assistance to get internship training.
Financial assistance: Youth will be given financial assistance for a period of three months to 12 months during the internship program.
- Those who have passed the Higher Secondary Examination will get Rs. 4,000 per month for internship.
- ITI Diploma passed candidates will get Rs. 5,000 per month.
- Graduate and post graduate youth will get internship of Rs. 6,000 per month.
Livelihood assistance: Youth going for internship programmes outside their home district will get an additional Rs. 2,000 per month as livelihood assistance, while those doing internship outside the state will get an additional Rs. 5,000 per month.
- The livelihood assistance will be available for a maximum period of three months.
- The internship amount will be paid directly to their bank accounts.
