The 72nd National Film Awards were announced on 18 July 2026 for outstanding achievements in Indian cinema during 2024.

Renowned Bharatanatyam artist, choreographer and scholar Dr. Vasundhara Doraswamy will receive the Padmabhushan Guru Dr. Saroja Vaidyanathan Excellence Award 2026.

The Ramon Magsaysay Award Foundation (RMAF) has announced the three recipients of the 2026 Ramon Magsaysay Award Tommy Koh , Bo Kyi  and Runa Khan.
