- Pandit Deendayal Upadhyay Garibi Mukt Gram Yojana of Rajasthan Government

Key Points:-
- The Rajasthan government launched 'Pandit Deendayal Upadhyay Garibi Mukt Gram Yojana' on 4 July 2025.
- The objective of this scheme is to make the poor families living in rural areas self-reliant by providing financial assistance and self-employment opportunities.
- 5,000 villages have been included in the first phase of the scheme.
Objective:- Respectful freedom from poverty
- Under this scheme, the state government will provide financial assistance and training to the families living below the poverty line (BPL) so that they can live a respectable life by joining employment, business and enterprise.
Provision of financial assistance
- Each selected family will be given assistance of up to ₹ 1 lakh so that they can start their own self-employment or small business.
- Women associated with women self-help groups (SHGs) will be given assistance of up to ₹ 15,000, so that they can increase their income.
Rewards for those who overcome poverty
- Families who have risen above poverty and become self-reliant will be given an incentive amount of ₹ 21,000.
- This amount will be transferred directly to their verified bank accounts.
- They will also get 'Atmanirbhar Parivar Card' which will be proof of their social and economic upliftment.
- So far, out of 22,400 eligible families, 17,891 bank accounts have been verified.
Eligibility and identification of families
- The government has identified 30,631 poor families in 5,002 villages on the basis of old BPL records of 2002 and new survey.
- In addition, more than 61,000 new applications have also been received so far.
Special action plan for each village
Separate action plans are being prepared for each village, through which services like:
- Skill training
- Self-employment assistance
- Link to government schemes
- Financial counseling
