Former Bangladesh Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina has been sentenced to death by the International Crimes Tribunal (ICT) for crimes against humanity linked to the 2024 student-led protests.

President Droupadi Murmu undertook a two-nation State Visit to Angola and Botswana from 9–13 November 2025. She participated in Angola’s 50th Independence Day celebrations and later visited Botswana — marking the first-ever State Visit by an Indian President to the country.

Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi paid an official visit to Bhutan and received an audience with His Majesty the King of Bhutan, Jigme Khesar Namgyel Wangchuck in Thimphu. The visit aimed to deepen the long-standing bilateral partnership, review development cooperation, and inaugurate major energy and infrastructure projects.

The 11th edition of the India–Sri Lanka Joint Military Exercise, MITRA SHAKTI–2025, is being conducted at the Foreign Training Node, Belagavi, Karnataka. The exercise aims to strengthen interoperability between the armies of both nations in sub-conventional operations under the United Nations (UN) mandate, with a focus on counter-terrorism and peacekeeping skills.

Nepal has extended the survey license deadline for the West Seti Hydropower Project being developed by India’s NHPC. It has also approved work for a direct agreement for another project by SJVN, aiming to facilitate Indian power companies in executing hydropower projects in the Himalayan nation.

Former US President Donald Trump is reportedly considering a 28-point peace plan to end the Russia–Ukraine war. The draft, seen by Axios, AFP, and AP, proposes territorial concessions to Russia, Ukraine’s exclusion from NATO, and Russia’s return to the G8.

On November 16, 2025, India's External Affairs Minister (EAM), Dr. S. Jaishankar, held a key meeting with Qatar's Prime Minister and Foreign Minister, Sheikh Mohammed bin Abdulrahman Al-Thani, in Doha. During the meeting, extensive discussions were held on bilateral relations, energy cooperation, trade, investment, and regional and global issues. 

Recently, the US approved the sale of military equipment and components worth $330 million to Taiwan.

On October 31, 2025, the Asia-Pacific Economic Cooperation (APEC) Summit 2025 was held in Gyeongju, South Korea. This summit made headlines, particularly due to the trade agreement between the United States and China.
